It's hard to find hair ties like these that aren't so chunky. These hold my thick hair very well with little tugging or ripping my hair

I have very long and thick hair. These spiral hair ties are the best ones that I've tried. They don't get stretched out easily and they do a great job of holding my hair up all day.

The plastic is sturdy. It's easy to put on, and doesn't pull hair off when untying, if you are paying attention and not just yanking it out like the typical non-spiral type hair tie. By the end of the day, I usually find my pony tail a little off-centered toward one side, but still holds up my hair well.
