removes all my makeup

I don't know what I'm doing differently from the negative reviewers, but I love this oil cleanser.
I rub this into my face immediately after work, let it sit for like a minute, and wipe away all my makeup (including eye makeup that normally stains) and the oil easily with just a wet towel (microfiber, if perhaps that makes the difference?). Or I'll use this and follow up with a makeup wipe on lazy days and that does the trick as well with no residue.
You should probably still follow up with a cleanser after, because that's what you're meant to do with oil cleansers after all, but I don't find this balm difficult to wipe away at all with just water and a face cloth. And honestly while a little will work, I cake it on to really melt away my heavy foundation, eyeliner, and waterproof mascara quickly, and still no issues. I'm back to get more

Pros and Cons

I've heard a few negative reviews about this prouict; finally tried it for myself last inght

Pros
Melted my makeup almost immediately; you do not need a lot to do this, use sparingly

Cons:
Will not wash off without a cleanser, even with warm water; might need to rub a little longer to ger rid of stubborn makeup, like mascara or eyeliner but it does come off eventually.

Overall, I do like it. Mine never had a bad smell, i actually quite liked it and, after using a cleanser to get it off, it left my face feeling really smooth and moisturized. Will purchase again.

Good oil phase, but not a complete cleanse

I applied generously to a dry face, following the directions, but this really acts like any cleansing balm--it takes the makeup off with gentle massaging, but it did need a cleanser to follow to get rid of the residue. Also, I definitely applied TOO generously. A lighter hand would have worked just as well and wouldn't have required as much effort to get back off.

okay, requires more scrubbing

this is okay as a cleansing stick. it does get the job done, but it's hard to get off and my face didn't feel as clean as the aoa balm. feels like the product is still on after wiping clean and it doesn't really emulsify. some reviews recommend using a cleanser to remove it. which does eventually do the job.
