These masks, though not "real" are at least thicker than the regular 3-layer ones we used at the beginning of all this. I try to stay as far away as possible from direct contact with people too, so I'm sure that helps too. A fine purchase for a buck, although, as I said, they're probably not a hospital-grade mask.
