    I bought the Large. It is true to the size chart, as far as the hip measurement goes. There is one extra inch of give, if anyone is between sizes, but it is not quite enough to make up for the lack of an XL. For comparison, (if you have undies sized by the number) it's an easy fit for a 6, but might be snug for a 7--measure before you buy. I'll probably get this in black, too.
