I'm at work for 10 hours a day (9 hour shift +1 hour lunch), and though I do get to sit at my desk a lot, I also run around the office and to other buildings on the property quite a bit, so comfortable shoes that look professional are a must. I recently purchased 2 new pairs of flats that are designed for comfort, but I knew they'd take a few days to break in, so I bought these heel pads as well as the silicone heel grips in preparation.
Both pairs of shoes were as comfy as I'd hoped, but they both rubbed my heels just enough that I had to switch to an old pair of flats partway through the day. To solve that problem, I put the silicone heel grips in one pair and these black heel pads in the other -- and these black ones did the trick! While the silicone heel grips quickly lost their adhesive power and ended up moving around in the shoe, these black heel pads stayed exactly where I needed them. Three long workdays later, the shoes were broken in well and weren't causing me any problems -- and these pads hadn't moved a bit. I'm pretty sure I could take them out now, and the shoes would feel fine, but why ruin a good thing? I'm leaving these in for as long as they'll hold on, which so far feels like it might be forever.
