set it up exactly like the video and instruction, didn’t work at all. Just makes a screeching noise and refuses to diffuse.

A lot of oils are toxic to our pets. Please look up which ones you can use and the ones you should not.
It worked for the first few hours of use, and then when I went to use it again after refilling the water & oil, it just turns on the light but no actual diffusing is happening. Waste of $20. (And yes, I followed the instructions and tried all the troubleshooting steps.)
