Unbelievable quality for the price. Even covers grays.

I usually prefer pomade brow products, but I couldn't resist trying one of these as the price point (thanks, Miss A!) was just so fantastic. I have naturally very dark- almost black- hair that is graying at the roots. I’ve learned if I use a lighter shade on my brows that it doesn't look as harsh, so I ordered the Caramel shade. It ended up being a beautiful, warm mid-brown color, and perfect for me.

When I took the cap off of the end of the black metal dispenser with the brow color in it, the "lead" or color core of the pencil fell out of the metal barrel, and landed on my desk top. No big deal- I just picked it up, and carefully put it back into the dispenser, making sure the pointed end was facing out. The product wasn't dried out, which is usually why this happens. It seemed ok to use. I just made sure I was (and will be) very careful when handling the product. By the way- I’ve had Chanel eye pencils that have done this too, so- it happens.

After experiencing the product dropping out of the dispenser like that, I was preparing myself for the "lead" breaking, or crumbling, as I used it. It did not do this. It applied beautifully. It had a nice, creamy consistency. I appreciated the very narrow width of the product, and I also appreciated that the pencil didn't need to be sharpened. When I needed more product, I just grasped the part of the dispenser at the place where the cap that snaps on sits- there is a line that you can see around the barrel of the dispenser that marks this area- and you just grasp, and turn here, and more product is dispensed.

The product itself is nice and opaque. I have quite a few white (and bristly and unruly) hairs in my brows, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that this pencil covered those with no trouble at all. I have paid a lot more money for brow products that didn't cover those white hairs anywhere near as well as this pencil did. There is a nice sturdy spoolie on the other end of the dispenser, and I combed the product into my brows to give them a more natural appearance. I was really happy with the way my brows looked and frankly kind of surprised this $1 pencil had performed this well.

Being right handed, I have a bit of a hard time with the part of my left brow that is right at the side of my nose, where the brow starts- or should start. For some reason, the hair here is quite thin, so I have to create as natural looking a sort of “squared off” start to my brow as possible. The nice narrow width of this brow pencil makes it super easy to control where I am putting color, which helped a lot in the creating of this difficult area. I found that I got my brows done in about half the time it usually takes me using this pencil.

I rubbed my finger pretty firmly over my brows after I had finished, and no color came off. I had set my brows, along with the rest of my makeup, with a dusting of loose powder, and then a spritz of setting spray. I don’t think my brows are going anywhere any time soon. This pencil is portable, whereas my pomade really isn't, so if I need to touch up toward the end of my day, it's no big deal. Pricey brow products need to be touched up too, I've found.

It's after using products like this from Miss A that I never knew about before that make me think- I wish I knew about this company years ago. So many great products, and such great prices. My usual brow product, a pomade from a company that starts with an A, costs $21. Granted, I don't buy the pomade very often, but it is more difficult to work with than this pencil, and I've tried four colors of it and weirdly, none of them worked as well as this pencil did right out of the wrapper. And that pomade can, and will, dry up in its container. And that’s a lot of money lost. So yes- I will be stocking up on this Caramel pencil. I haven't been shopping with Miss A long enough to know what products typically are in and out products, but I'm going to make sure I have back ups of this great brow product. Highly recommended.
